If the unit has an observation tube, to use the observation tube the beam splitter must be in place. This is controlled by the lever on top of the microscope.
The tube angle can be changed for the
optimal viewing height by loosening the
knob on the fixing ring on the tube near
the base of the observation tube. Be
sure to have a hold onto the top of the
observation tube when loosening this
screw so the tube does not fall.
The image is rotated by the collar on the tube. This collar should be rotated to properly orientate the image.
The eyepiece can be focused for the observerΓÇÖs eye by rotating it counter-clockwise until the image (which should be in focus for the primary observer) is blurred and then rotated clockwise until it is just in focus.
